The NECA/IBEW Local 134 are proud to have played an integral role in Chicago's history during the 20th century, including many historic firsts such as helping to execute Daniel Burnham’s groundbreaking lakefront plan; installing Chicago's first telephone system and wiring the city's first subway system not to mention helping to build the city's first skyscrapers, homes, churches, hospitals, high-rise apartments and theaters as well as many of Chicago's landmarks, such as Sears Tower, Wrigley Field, O'Hare Field and the Art Institute of Chicago.
